Yes, it is normal.
It just means you moved the tape offsite before it was written completely
full to the end.

That is a proper thing to do - it is more important to get the right data
into your vault, than to completely fill a tape!

Reclamation for your offsite pool will collect those partially full tapes
for you, so don't worry about it.

Hi Everyone,
I have TSM 4.1.5 and I am using DRM. Everyday, I do a backup of the primary
storage pool to a copy storage pool using 3494 tape library. I have many
offsite tapes that are in "Filling" status. Is this normal?
If it is not. How can I prevent this from happining and keep all the offsite
tapes "Full" instead of "Filling"?
