Sorry for the delay in replying Joe, I was out for a few days...
I believe as long as you have a client that will recognize the
'resourceutilization' option it should work for you. Can anyone else out there
verify that? I am having trouble finding my doc on this...

Ryan,
Thanks for the info... appreciate. Would you happen to know if both client and
server need to be at version 5.x?

When posting, you need to include your Server and Client version levels and OS.
I am assuming you have not upgraded to 5.? yet, so there in lies the problem,
multi session backups have been around
for a few versions, but multi session restore was only introduced in 5.1 or
possibly 5.2, I would need to verify that....

Subject: number of restore sessions
Situation: logged in to tsm server as a virtual node A. I'm trying to restore
appx 120G to node B. I have set resource to 10 and maxnummp to 10 on both
clients A and B. Due to the amount of data,
it's obviously spanned across multiple tapes (and it's definitely on tape).
What's preventing multiple sessions from starting. I'm only getting one.
