I suppose the next question is, how do I define the 'external
manager'? Is that a library definition that the TSM Device Driver
handles? Can you show me the configuration file (lb.conf?) that
defines this for Solaris?

You're almost there, you define the acsid when you define the library.
What
you need to supply when you define the path from the server to the
library
is the externalmanager parameter. Here's what I see for the path from my
server to the library, ACS0 (acsid 0):

Source Name: SERVER_NAME
Source Type: SERVER
Destination Name: ACS0
Destination Type: LIBRARY
Library:
Node Name:
Device:
External Manager: acs0
LUN:
Initiator: 0
Directory:
On-Line: Yes

 Hi TSMers...

 I've been fighting with TSM 5.1.6.0 on Solaris 8 -- I can't define a
path for an ACSLS library, because the server insists that I'm either
handing it bad parameters, or not enough parameters... Can someone
 shed some light on this?
