Hi,
another possibility is creating special management class and in backup copy
group definition set frequency parameter to 7.
Then assign this mgmt class to your db files.
This solution is offcourse possible only if you are not using TDP for
backup of DB

Hi,

I'll would have liked to have more input to give you the best answer. Off
hand:
- Use the SQL tdp to back-up this instance, or;
- Define a option file that includes online the data which you would like
to
back-up once a week. Give it a different nodename and its one schedule.
Exclude everything from the normal back-ups option file what will be
back-upped by this new option file.

Gr.

Karel

Onderwerp: backup for a single db

Hello everyone!

I have an instance on a SQL DB that is very large (164GB) and I only want
to back it up to TSM once a week. It is on a server called HMCH1130, which
gets backed up incrementally M-F at 8 PM. How would I backup just this
filespace every Monday and still have that same server do an incremental
backup M-F? Would this be done through a schedule? If so, how would I
exclude it from regular backups?

Thanks!
