While I’m waiting on the support center to call back let me see if anyone on
the list has any ideas.
Small system hosted on Win2K, TSM Server 5.1.1.0. Library Exabyte X200 with
4 Mammouth II drives (SCSI attached). This is a remote site so I can’t
physically touch/see the library but here’s what I know:
Power issues over the weekend. TSM server was rebooted. On Monday morning I
find that we didn’t run client backups on Sunday night due to the diskpool
being full. After a little poking around discover that the library is
whacked. Turns out the library is not able to run through all of the
calibration steps after it comes up from the power hit. Between working with
the folk’s onsite and Exabyte support we correct the library issue. The
library now runs through all of the startup steps, completes calibration and
is sitting with “idle” on the display.
TSM shows all drives and paths online. Q mount just hangs and never comes
back. Show libr comes back with the info below. The interesting part is that
is says tape 242 is in drive1….it isn’t. We appear to be hung up in some
allocation routine. I can’t take the drives offline. Tried to delete drive1
and re-define it but the delete drive command just hangs.
Any thoughts??
