The big indeterminate is cost -- how much data do you need to run into the
copy pool and what bandwidth will be required to do it in a reasonable time.
We looked at this for one subset application that does between 20 and 40 GB
a day and couldn't sell management on the cost of the circuit.

Pls consider this setup for disaster recovery and comment.
* setup TSM server and tape library at hot site
* setup copypool on hotsite rig
* update the copypool nightly from home site
* connectivity is via VPN
For disaster recovery do bare metal restores to servers at hotsite using hot
site copy pool .
