EMC Symmetrix ?

Need help!!!  I currently have 2 identical servers using EMC Symmetrix.  Since 
the apps and data are identical on both servers, how do I prevent backing up 
the data on both of these servers as either
can be the primary at any given time?  Any recommendations would be greatly 
appreciated.
