No, there is not a special version. A notebook computer is just like any
other, from the standpoint of software. It's just physically different.

The GUI clients use the operating system settings for color scheme and
such, so if you have set special screen colors for better visibility on
your notebook, it will work fine.

As with any computer, notebook or desktop, network backup works best if
you are connected on a real hardwire LAN to the server. Forget about
modems of any kind, and ADSL is a real problem because with network
backup because the traffic is heavily up-bound while ADSL lines are
optimized for down-bound traffic. You need real 10/100 Ethernet,
connected as closely as possible to the ITSM Server. That is, it should
be a connection in the same organization/domain as the Server, because
when ITSM traffic goes out into the overall Internet, your ISP is going
to charge you A LOT OF MONEY for bandwidth.

So, assuming your notebook has some kind of normal operating system, and
a good, solid network connection, it will work fine with TSM backup. We
have a person in my department who hauls their notebook in daily and
plugs it into the local Ethernet to use it, and to get it backed up by
TSM. Then he unplugs it and takes it home at night, and uses it there.
This method works great for him. I back up my own traveling notebook
to TSM before leaving town with it, but not while I have it on the road.
