FYI on W2K clients: New with W2K is an option in the "Services"
area. If you select the service and then Properties, there is a
tab at the top labeled "Recovery". You can then select among
a number of options to say restart after failure with 1 minute
delay. I have used this for some of my clients that occasionally
fail or don't start on reboot.

We're running 5.1.1 clients and only seeing that problem after a
reboot
(need to manually start services). Otherwise, everythings fine. What
client
level (x.x.x) are you at? -Doug

Would like to know if anyone else has this problem or has found a fix:

NT/2000 servers fail nightly backups if Scheduler Service is not
stopped and started daily.

Thanks,
