Hi,
I have the following environment:
TSM Server 5.1.5.2 on AIX 5.1, a FC Adapter 6228 and an IBM LTO 3583 with
SANDataGateway.
When the library is performing an intensive write process, I get the
following messages in the activity log:
01/07/03 17:02:48 ANR8311E An I/O error occurred while accessing drive
3583DRV2 (/dev/rmt2) for WRITE operation, errno = 5.
01/07/03 17:02:48 ANR1411W Access mode for volume 393ACA now set to
"read-only" due to write error.
01/07/03 17:02:48 ANR8302E I/O error on drive 3583DRV2 (/dev/rmt2)
(OP=OFFL, Error Number=5, CC=0, KEY=0B, ASC=4E, ASCQ=00,
SENSE=70.00.0B.00.00.00.00.1C.00.00.00.00.4E.00.00.00.10-.47.00.00.00.01.20.20.20.20.20.20.20.1A.00.01.40.DF.01.0-0,
Description=An undetermined error has occurred). Refer to Appendix D in the
'Messages' manual for recommended action.
IBM changed this drive twice, but I still get the same messages.
Does somebody know if it is a known problem with the OS or the TSM version?
Thanks in advance,
Henry Aranda
