Most Web client activities are ok. But if you use the Web client to do any
type of upd node activity, it will bring down your TSM server. We also
stopped all queries against the nodes table because we found it caused
issues as well.

I upgraded to 5.1.6 yesterday on an AIX 4.3.3 SP node and have had no
problems with the web access at all - except for the formatting of the
queries - the break commands seem to be left off of the reports. But I can
query and change nodes with no problems. I have been running 24 hours - we
have a 3494 Library and all backups, restores, reclamation, migrations and
expiration have worked smoothly and flawlessly.
Maybe I am not trying the correct action on the nodes table?
