Hello Jacque
You can do this by creating another node, (for the "special" directory), and
create another Client Scheduler, and a new client schedule. Just associate
the new node with the new schedule, and thats it.

I am attempting to perform two different backup schedules on the same
client.
The reason for this is that I need to run a lengthy preschedulecmd prior to
backing up a single directory but don't want this to hold up the backup of
all of the other directories.
Is there a way to do this?
