I am looking at upgrading VERY soon from 4.2.1.9 and based on the comments
in this group, I'd like to go to 5.1.5.4. I see on the FTP site that
5.1.5.0
is available, how can I get the upgrade that will take me to 5.1.5.4? (64
bit) I'm sure this should be obvious, but I'm just not finding it. Thanks!

5.1.6.0 is new and has one serious known problem.

5.1.5.4 was suggested by support a few weeks ago as being pretty good.
4.2.3.2 is the recommended intermediate upgrade path before going to
5.1.5.4
especially if you have windows system objects which were introduced in some
level of 4.2.2.x with lots of bugs that really are not completely fixed
until 4.2.3.2 and supposedly 5.1.5.2.

Coming from 4.1.2, you should probably put on 4.2.3.2, then jump to 5.1.5.4
or higher, but not 5.1.6 until the one nasty problem is fixed.

Subject: Stability of TSM

Hello Fellow TSMer's,
I have been trying to postpone upgrading my TSM Server for as long as
possible. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!", but
i'm
starting to get funny errors. Anyways, I'm at 4.1.2, and I have been
reading
many issues with each 5.X release. I would like to know, from everyone's
experience, what version is the most stable thus far? and can you recommend
a site for upgrade docs. Thanks in advance.... -kane
