- You said you want to set up a "schedule job"... are you referring to the
TSM scheduler or some other scheduling mechanism?

- You said you want to archive some objects, but then you say your current
schedule job "backed up" 0. Are we talking about TSM's archive or backup
function?

- It would help if you could provide some detail on your current scheduler
job setup, and what exactly you are trying to archive. If this is through
the TSM scheduler, then what command did you use to define the schedule?
What does the output from "QUERY SCHEDULE domainname schedname F=D" look
like? What objects are you trying to archive or back up?

In general, if I wanted to archive, say, 3 objects using the TSM
scheduler, I would define a schedule like this:

def sch mydomain myschedule objects="c:\file1.txt c:\file2.txt
c:\file3.txt"

(add in your schedule start time, duration, etc.)

If I wanted to archive 3 directories, I would do this:

def sch mydomain myschedule objects="c:\dir1\ c:\dir2\ c:\dir3\"
options="-subdir=yes"

(add in your schedule start time, duration, etc. Use -subdir=no if you
don't wish to traverse directories.)

Hi folks,

Here a really dumb question but.... how the hell can I setup a schedule
job
to archive some objects on a Windows 2000 client on a regular basis. No
matter what I try my schedule job always says it has checked 2 items (even
if I give him 10) and has backed up 0.
Any suggestions?

Systemdata:
TSM Server 4.2.1.15
Client: W2K Server sp3, TSM Client 4.2.1.32
