Hi TSMers,

With regards to my email below, would I be able to use NetBeui as an
option.....? Anything I should consider when doing this .....?????

Please can you assist me. We are looking into putting in our own private lan
as indicated in the diagram below which will connect to the aix server
(connected to the XP by two fibre channels) using a gigabit ethernet card to
the private switch which will have its own IP range and the TSM server is to
be connected to this switch as well. The TSM server will be connected to the
switch by a second gigabit ethernet card. How would we then configure TSM
on the TSM server side and on the client (aix server), what are the
implications of this ? We would still require the TSM server to be on the
normal LAN as well as the Aix server as indicated in the diagram below. So
ultimately the TSM server will have two IP addresses.

Any ideas.....please help....Our intention for doing this is to improve the
backup /restore time. I hope this all makes sense to you guys....!!!

Please help.....!!!!!
