Yes, TSM can take full adavantage of both the robotic mechanism of tape
libraries/autoloaders as well as access multiple tape drives at any
given time.

I have a DLT auto-loader (HP Tape Library 2/28).
It's a dual DLT 4000 (hopefully upgrading to 7k drives soon) with a
mechanical arm etc.
What I'm wondering is -
Can TSM control both drives at the same time?  I'm kinda assuming so
since each drive has it's own SCSI ID but I'm not sure.  Can it
read/write to 2 drives at the same time?
