did you try an audit library  alot of times that will delete the tapes it
doesn't find in the library

Tried this one as well, the tape library produces an I/O error since those
tapes went to our offsite storage. Need something which deletes those tapes
out of the database without them actually being present.

Hello,

I have a problem with tapes. I desperately try to delete tapes out of one
of
our TSM Servers(AIX4.3.3 TSM v4.2). Those tapes got checked in as scratch
tapes on two servers at the same time. Now on one of the servers they are
listed as scratch tapes, but not available. I can list them with a Q
LIBVOL
They will show up as scratch, but the delete vol cmd does not work since
they are not in a stggroup. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this,
besides of moving the data off those tapes in the other server.
Help is greatly appreciated
