Hi TSMers,

We are trying to make a dump from progress on a aix 4.3.3 rs/6000 660
machine, in order to back it up in tsm.
The machine makes use of an SSA drawer. The problem is that the dump wrotes
to disk by only 30MB's per hour!!!!
the total size is just under a terrabyte. TSM will never be able to make an
up to date backup this way.
I've looked at things like network, memory and disks but couldn't find a
thing. accept that Powerplay also runs on the server and uses only one (at a
constant 100%) of the four processors available.
I've tried to dump to another machine (an old solaris) and this goes by
150MB per hour. so the problem is not the dump.

I know this isnt a real tsm question but thought id try anyway.
Thnx a lot!
mi©helle
