LTO is rated at 15MBps native and 30MBps compressed.

I am not sure what type of tape drives you are running in your Scalar
100. I believe you can have either LTO, DLT, SuperDLT or AIT in that
library.

Subject: lto speed

Hi all,
I have some speed questions concerning LTO and an ADIC scalar 100 with 2
drives. I am able to archive 29GB in about 5.5 hours. I was wondering
what kind of speed I should notice (no compression). If im not giving
enough information please let me know.. If anyone has suggestions on
what
i should look into for why the speed seems slow also .. email me :)

Thanks all,
R.
