Archive does not operate at the file system ("domain") level like
incremental backup. So in order to archive directories, you need to append
the directory delimiter character "/" to the end of your file
specifications, i.e.:

   dsmc archive oracle/dev/ /oracle/tst/ -subdir=yes

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.

Hello TSM Experts,

I want to archive more than one file system (with all of the
subdirectories)
on the same command line. Will this work?

# dsmc archive -subdir=yes "oracle/dev" "/oracle/tst"

Your help is appreciated.
