That won't work either. You would have to always run with Library
sharing. You could not just turn it on. With TSM Library Sharing the
Library Manager TSM Server keeps track of all the tapes as well so that
would also cause a problem since each TSM server would have its own set
of tapes until you wanted to turn on Library Sharing.

The other thing to remember is that with the 3583, Library Sharing is
only supported in a SAN. You did not mention how the 3583 drives are
attached to the servers.

What you want is library partitioning. That would allow you to add
another server to an existing library and be able to assign drives to
each of the servers. This cannot be done with the 3583, you would need a
3584 library.
