There is no difference between a local and a server based backupset.

 

You can take the backupset tape from the server library and insert it into a locally attached DLT tapedrive on the client, and then restore the backupset from that tapedrive.

I need the correct steps to create a local backupset for a client in case of
the server is down. I already generate a backupset client for the server on
