John,

I was recently asked to run AUDITDB by the Tivoli support center.
They warned that it could run a long time. Everything I saw in the manuals
for my version indicated that AUDITDB was a standalone process. Some
contributions to the list suggested that there was an on-line version, but
I did not find any reference to it in the manuals. Some contributions to
the list suggested that the audit could last a very long time, i.e.,
several days.

So for whatever it may be worth, here is a brief summary of what
happened.

AUDITDB FIX=YES
DB Size 5856 MB - Assigned Capacity
          1270137 pages, each page 4KB -- from ANR4554I message
Running time: 9 hours 46 minutes.
Processed 36,604,377 entries (last occurrence of message ANR4306I)
Most of the time the job was using around 25% of the CPU according to the
SDSF display. It ran on a weekend without much competition for resources.
Produced error message:
ANR4304E AUDITDB: AF.Audit.Clusters missing entry for cluster 123 3 -
cluster
ANR4304E entries deleted.
This message appeared two times in the output.

Environment:
     IBM 9672-RC4 OS/390 V2.8
     TSM Server V4.1.2

After the audit finished, the server restarted with no problems.
