Karel,

Ensure that you break the storage into as many as four filespaces and
collocate this client by filespace in your storage pools.  This will give
you a chance to reduce the restore times to network speeds.

I fear that backup sets will not help you much here as creating them will
take too long (perhaps but you can always test it).

I think your only chance to restore this is in a reasonable amount of time
is to bring as many tape resources to bare as possible.
