Vijay, I can't speak for AIX, but on Sun Solaris UNIX, if
followsymbolic=no during backup, TSM properly restores symbolic links.

Hello, all

I wonder if any body using tsm-backup are able to backup and restore
successfully the links (of files and
diectories) in UNIX or AIX system. The links backup and restore
diffrently
depending on whether
'-followsymbolic' option in dsm.opt is set to 'yes' or 'no'.

However in either case the symbolic links either restore as directories
with files (instead of links),
or restore as a file instead of a link.

Any ideas about how to take care of symbolic-link files in unix, in the
case of bare-metal recoveries.

Thanks, vijay.
