Question: Will TSM 3.7 work on Novell 4.11 clients running SP6a? We are
trying to get to TSM 4.1 (Server) but some of our platforms are becoming
outdated which makes it difficult. We are currently running TSM Server 3.7.4
on AIX 4.3.2 with Novell clients running 3.1. The reason we are running 3.1
on the clients is because when we upgraded the server to 3.7 we were told that
the Novell TSM client version (3.7) would not work with our service pak. We
cannot update the service pack because we have an application running on a
Novell 4.10 server that we are unable to move at this time. I asked Tivoli
support if we could run TSM 3.1 clients with a 4.1 server and was told: 'We
don't know, we haven't tested it and we won't support it. But...it might
work.'
Anyway, when we tried 3.7 on one of our Novell 4.11 servers, we received the
