Question:

Why would having your laptop docked or un-docked make a difference in
backup.

The only reason I have my Laptop docked is I don't want to look @ a 17"
monitor or I don't want to unwind the power cord.

My NIC card communicates the same way being docked or un-docked.

Orin,

Go to a DOS prompt and type "dsmc"

Once your command line changes from <X Directory> to dsmc type "q sch"

The output will say when- what - and how long until your next scheduled
backup is.

If you don't get that you ;

A: Are not communicating with the TSM Server
or
B: Do not have your laptop/node associated with a backup schedule

Yes, a schedule is defined. So, does using the laptop undocked preclude you
from having scheduling set up?

You don't by chance have a schedule defined with this laptop and the TSM
server do you?
