An interesting question has been posed today.. Our mail people dont want to
run their own TDP restores,
and their Win2k servers are managed by another group who dont want Joe Bloggs
logging on with
cart blanche admin rights...
Env outlined below..
Operating System: Windows 2000
Fileset or Version: TDP for Domino V1.1
.
Environment:
Win2K Cluster server using TDP for Domino v1.1 and TSM
API V4.1
.
Problem Description:
We are running Domino R5 servers utilizing TDP within a
Win2K cluster
environment.
The TDP scheduled services run from the Win2K systems
account.
Our question is what level of access is required to run a
TDP restore.
The intention is to 'devolve' Domino restores down as far
possible to an
operational task.
This entails remore login (via PC-Duo) onto the server
running
Domino,and its inherent security risks.
In current test mode 'a local admin account is being
used, which will
not be the case in a 'live' environment.
What is the level of access necessary to achieve this???
A web client i/face would be nice, as that is how our BA
client restores
are devolved down to Desktop services.
Any ideas????
