Offsite reclamation makes a lot of sense, for the same reasons that you reclaim
primary pools - to reduce slack, save on tape usage. Remember that offsite
tapes are *copy* storage pools, the tapes don't need to be onsite because the
TSM database knows exactly where each price of data is and it has a copy
onsite. This is all it needs to move data around. So for example, if you
reclaim 10 offsite tapes to 1 (90% threshold), then TSM will copy those 10
tapes to 1 new tape using the data onsite and update the database to correctly
indicate where the data is.

What is the benefit of using reclamation on the offsite copy tape pool?
How is this possible if the tapes are offsite?
Expiration makes sense, but reclamation?
