I see from the structure of the client download page (& FTP site) that the
Win95 client (4.1.x) is
different from the Win98ME client (4.2.1) which is different from the
WinNT2000XP client (4.2.1).
OK.
(Let's ignore the fact that the web site is in error, as the Win98ME entry on
the client download
page points to the NT2000XP client code ... I notified the Tivoli webmaster of
this earlier today).
But when I look at the structure of the FTP site in the "patches" branch,
there are *separate*
directories for WinNT and WinXP and no Win2000 directory. The files under
WinNT and WinXP
are named the same and appear to be identical. Is Tivoli trying to tell us the
patch does not apply
to Win2000? (it seems to apply!) Is Tivoli telling us the WinXP client will
be separated from the
NT/2000 client soon?
Sort of related ... I was a little surprised to find patch 15 applies only to
NT/XP and not Win98ME.
Guess Tivoli has less interest in the latter?
Just want to give my clients the best, simplest service possible.
cheers, wayne
