We are smack in the middle of a TSM migration from an OS/390 to an AIX
platform. I'm looking for server and client "Best Practices" from
experienced users of TSM. If someone could point me to a document/s or
website I can sift through, it would be most appreciated. Specifically,
today, I am looking for an example of a request-type form one would give to
a user/engineer that would ask the appropriate questions for adding a new
node to TSM. Examples would include items such as backup window, amount of
data to backup, specific services to stop or start, batch or scripts to run
prior or after backups, client or server options required, DB concerns
(TDP's, etc). I figure why re-invent the wheel if someone already has a
base to start from. Tivoli's website didn't offer much, as far as I could
find. If this doesn't exist, I will be sure to share what I find or create
for anyone else's benefit. Thank you.
