Kent,

As you said yourself, this is a Lotus Domino bug. The Lotus
development team has discovered the problem in the
transaction logger (SPR #TBRT535LXZ). The target for
this fix is Domino server 5.0.10.

Please realize that this is a Lotus Domino problem and
has nothing to do with how the application
(in this case TDP for Domino) implements it. This will
occur with ANY 3rd party application using the
backup and restore APIs. The fix will come in the
form of a fix to the Domino Server. There is absolutely
nothing the 3rd party application can do to avoid this
potential situation. And if anybody tells you differently,
then they would be telling you a lie.

For those who have experienced this, and need a fix,
they should contact Lotus support and work something out
with them in regards to an early fix for SPR #TBRT535LXZ.

Thanks,

Del
