When you create an archive of a folder/directory/filesystem, it has to
send the data from the client to the server everytime right? Even if I
already have a complete incremental backup on my server (i.e. the files
are ALREADY backed up), it will still send the files across the network.

Just want to verify my understand of that is correct. I did run a test
and it looked to me like it just sent the data over even though I
verified it was already on the server (a directory of static files).

In fact the only time this sort of thing isn't true is when you create a
backupset. My understanding then is that it will indeed take the data
from the TSM server for those files that are already backed up. Correct?
