We upgraded to TDP 3.2.0.1.

The TSM server also runs an oracle test environment, but this was also
running before when we had ADSM and we never had performance problems
before.
For backups there is only one client using the server at the time.

Which version of TDP did you upgrade to?
I would recommend being at 3.2.03 at the very least.  There are some issues
with compression with the lower 3.2 levels.
Do you have any other actions on the TSM Server during the same time as
your
backup?
