Just to make sure, do a "q status" and make sure "Availability: Enabled"
and not "Availability: Disabled"
Otherwise it's a pretty typical troubleshooting issue. To troubleshoot I
suggest you do a "dsmc q sess" from the linux box's command prompt (or
replicate the problem). It will fail if what you say is true. Then:
On the server, do a "q act begint=now-00:05" and look in the activity
log to see if the linux box contacted the server, and if so, what it's
perspective on the problem is.
You really aren't offering enough information to help us troubleshoot
the problem.
