What you are looking for is in the DEVICE CLASS associated with the
storage pool. Look at MOUNTLIM.

Subject: How to limit drives used to backup storage pool
I have TSM 4.2 on MVS with 4 assigned 9840 tape drives. Is there a way to
limit the number of
tape drives used by a copy storage pool process? I'm using backup storage
pool from my large
primary pool to a backup pool. The number specified by MAXPRocess is 1,
but it doesn't seem to
restrict the number of drives used. I need to keep two drives free for
restores, migrations,
etc.
Thanks for your help,
