We have TSM 4.2 installed on an AIX 4.3.3 box. We are trying to backup a DB2
database using API.
We configured the environmental variables (DSMI_DIR, DSMI_CONFIG, DSMI_LOG)
in the 'db2inst1' .profile file.
We stopped DB2 using the 'db2stop' command, then started it using 'db2start'
command.
When trying to perform the backup, we get the following message:

$ db2 backup db netview use adsm
SQL1224N  A database agent could not be started to service a request, or was
terminated as a result of a database system shutdown or a force command.
SQLSTATE=55032
$ db2 backup db netview use adsm
SQL1032N  No start database manager command was issued.  SQLSTATE=57019
...
It seems like the 'db2 backup db' shuts down the DB2.
Any clue?
