Hello everyone,

We have a TSM Server 4.1.3 running on AIX 4.3.3. We have a 3494 tape library
with only one 3590 tape drive.
We need to perform Storage Pool Backup of a primary TAPEPOOL (3590
devclass).
I know that it is possible to define a device class FILE and a FILE_COPYPOOL
associated to this device class.

The next command would make a copy of the TAPEPOOL using the FILE_COPYPOOL:

tsm> copy stgpool TAPEPOOL FILE_COPYPOOL

My questions having in mind two important considerations:

1) We will use Tivoli Disaster Recovery Manager. How do I manage DRM
volumes?
Copy Pool volumes are first created in disk (FILE devclass). How do I move
data to a TAPE_COPYPOOL (3590 devclass)?
Which volumes are going to be taken for DRMedia use?

2) We are performing SPACE RECLAMATION for primary stgpool TAPEPOOL using a
device class type FILE.

Can we use the same disk space for both reclamation and copy stgpool?

Customer may be able to have up to 60 GB of disk space for this purpose.

Any suggestion or other possible solution for this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help.
