Hi,
I'm having major problems with the dsmc-process running
on my dsmserver-machine. Frequently dsmc core dumps during
backup processing. In the dsmerror.log this is reported as:
B/A Txn Consumer thread, fatal error, signal 11
(Output from dbx included below. )
I checked the archives, where it was said that the
"B/A Txn Consumer thread, fatal error, signal 11" only happens
on AIX, and may be due to an interaction with NIS. Workaround
is to run backup manually. I cannot see any references to
passwd checking in my logs. Looks more like a threads issue. Is it
possible it is running out of memory / shared memory?
My problems are:
since this happens on the dsmserver machine, this also
causes problems for other scripts, like the nightly
database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
this is Sun system running 64-bit Solaris 8, not AIX.
Is there any news about this error? I'm running version 4.1.2.0
Med vennlig hilsen
