Bruce,

Officially, TDP for SQL 1.1.2 is supported
only on SQL 6.5 and SQL 7. See:

    http://www.tivoli.com/support/storage_mgr/tdp_ms.html#SQL

SQL 2000 support was added with TDP for SQL 2.2.0 early this year.
Version 2 added a whole lot of new function. See:

   http://www.tivoli.com/products/index/data_protect_mssql/index.html

We have tested TDP for SQL 2.2.0 with SQL 2000 active/active in a
Windows 2000 cluster with no problems.

Interestingly, your query filespace output shows that
you have successfully backed up the "consigment" and
the "dbadmin" databases to this node on 7/10/2000.
How were you able to do that?

To get around this problem you could remove the
CLUSTERNODE YES option from the options file
but your generated password may not work properly
in a cluster failover situation.

You could try calling IBM/Tivoli service.
A trace would help.... not sure how far you'd get since
your not running in a supported environment.

Thanks,

Del

Del,

This is a 2 node Windows 2000 Cluster and the cluster service is running.
When we run "dsmc query filespace" program with the same dsmsql.opt we do
not get the same error (it actually works since we can use the gui to
backup):
