Maklári,

TDP for Microsoft Exchange uses a special
Microsoft Exchange backup and restore API
to talk with the Exchange server.

The "unknown Exchange API error" means that the
Microsoft Exchange backup and restore API encountered
an error that it did not expect to. Normally, if the
Microsoft API gets an expected error, it also provides
a textual message to explain why. In that case,
TDP for Microsoft Exchange will display the
error message received from Exchange.

In your case, the Microsoft API did not expect
to receive this error.

In order to find out what the problem is, you
will need to gather a trace and call IBM/Tivoli support.
The trace will contain a hexadecimal value
that we can then call Microsoft with to find out
what it means.

To turn on tracing, run the backup command with
the following options added:

      -tracefile:exchange.trc -traceflag:t_all

... then call IBM/Tivoli support.

Thanks,

Del
