Mahesh,

If i recall, there was not LTO support in 3.7.0.0. I believe i had to
upgrade to 3.7.4.0 to get LTO support. But the update is available on
Tivoli's site, and is a pretty painless update.

To get the drives defined in AIX, again you may have to have a recent
version of the Atape.driver fileset, depending on your AIX maintenance
level. Run 'cfgmgr -v' and see if it finds your drives (rmt*) and the
media changer (smc*). Use 'lsdev -Cc tape'. If not, check your Atape
level with 'lslpp -l Atape.drive'. I am at version 5.4.4.0.

After AIX sees the drives, the TSM setup is pretty straight forward.
Just define your device class of LTO, library, and drives, and you should
be ready to go. I forget the exact syntax, but look at the online help in
3.7.4.0, as it includes documentation for LTO. (define devclass, define
library, define drive).
