Bill,

If it's asking for an element number, it most likely thinks your 8mm is in
the 3575lib.  To tell the truth, that's what it looks like from your DEFINE
DRIVE command, also.  Is this the case?  If it is, you'll need to find the
element number corresponding to the physical location in your drive.  You
can find element numbers at:

If your 8mm is not in the library (mine isn't, it's in the rack), you'll
need to DEFINE LIBRARY and create a manual library.  Here's an example from
the TSM 3.7 Admin Guide, page 53.  Of course, this assumes the drive is
already Available to AIX.  Er... Or whatever OS you're using.

define library manual8mm libtype=manual
define drive manual8mm drive01 device=/dev/mt1
define drive manual8mm drive02 device=/dev/mt2
