Hi all,

Environment:
TSM 4.1.2.0
AIX 4.3.3
3494 Library

I have a question related to tapes. Below are a couple of errors that look
like these tapes may not have a label. I was trying to use the following
command to label them but it comes back with this:

ANR2017I Administrator GEOFF issued command: LABEL libvol 3494lib U00954
devt=3590 checkin=scratch overwrite=yes
ANR8432E LABEL LIBVOLUME: Volume U00954 is already present in library
3494LIB.

Am I using the wrong command or do I need to check out the volume and use
the label command during checking?

02/20/01 11:14:08     ANR8355E I/O error reading label for volume U00954 in
drive RMT4 (/dev/rmt4).
02/20/01 11:14:38     ANR8778W Scratch volume U00954 changed to Private
Status to prevent re-access.

02/23/01 07:01:39     ANR8355E I/O error reading label for volume U00959 in
drive RMT1 (/dev/rmt1).
02/23/01 07:02:10     ANR8778W Scratch volume U00959 changed to Private
Status to prevent re-access.


This second error relates to ?????, Not sure I understand where this came
from or what it actually means.

pool 29.

pool 29.
