Check your no -a options, especially the SB_MAX, TCP_SENDSIZE and
TCP_RECVSIZE. Here's the ones I used for my RS/6000 SP backups:
no -o sb_max=1310720
no -o rfc1323=1
no -o tcp_sendspace=655360
no -o tcp_recvspace=655360
I got these from many messages in the archives.
