Don't know about deleting file.  If you indeed want to back up this file but 
want to keep only one version then set up a new management class with the 
parameters you want for this file and then in dsm.opt of incl/excl file 
(depending on client system) put this line:

include    /.../filetobackup  mgmtclass

This will backup up this file only to this new class, but the rest of the files 
will be backed up as presently.  Review incl/excl in *SM docs for info.

Does anyone know of a way to manually delete one file off backups.  I
don't want to change the management policy on retention.  We have a
single big file that gets backed up daily.  It also gets deleted daily.
The name changes on a daily basis, so we start taking up a lot of tape
space in the deleted retention.  I need to delete the one file manually.
