std input sounds like  stdin  which would be your keyboard.  Check to see if
it plugged in.  If it is then you may have a bad keyboard.  Try another one.
If that doesn't work you may have a bad port.  You can still control your
server via rlogin or telnet.  Other than that your system seems to be
starting normally.
