Hi again

The problem is solved. This is just to thank all of you
(especially Ben Huber, Richard Sims and Tivoli support)
for their suggestions and,
since I'm not sure whether others may find themselves in a similar
situation, a description of what may have caused the problem here.

With the help of Tivoli it was pretty soon clear that there were certain
database records missing, one per additional user, indicating the first
directory belonging to this user under the filespace. Note the missing line

              512 xx/xx/xx xx:xx:xx /fs1/dir1 Never Project_Description

which represents just this directory in the output of a q archive

/fs1/dir1/my_user/dir2/acc/acc94.dat.11 Never Project_Description
etc.

Once this directory (and only that one) was archived under the user in
question and with TSM 3.7 client

dsmc archive "/fs1/dir1" -desc="Project_Description"

, it could be used by dsm 3.7 to expand further.

Eventually ADSM 3.1 didn't care about ownership at this level, displaying
too much data. One may assume that this has been corrected now, with the
described side effect.

Thanks again and best wishes to all
