Hi Stefan!
That was my first impression too. But we have done several tests, comparing
performance between both procedures. The difference in performance was very
very small.
Only if your C drive is several gigabytes of data it will make up for the
time you need for installing the TSM client. Bear in mind that it's not only
installing TSM. You need to reboot at least once and you also need to
configure the client. This will cost you at least 5 minutes which is an
extra 5 minutes downtime...
