Hi:
Overall it seems you want to archive a set of files on a daily basis and then
store them offsite. I assume you want to archive rather than simply backup
because you want to retain each version of the file for a long period of time.
How you would go about it depends on your situation. For example, if you know
you want all archived files from all clients to be retained for five years,
then you would have a single copygroup archive definition defined for the
default management class and the destination going to a specific storage pool
to isolate the archives from the backups. Then you would checkout the newly
created volumes in that (archive) storage pool.
